Affordable, healthy homes

Nelson Tasman Housing Trust believes everyone deserves to live in a warm, comfortable home. That's why we provide affordable, healthy homes for people and whānau in need.

We currently have 80 rental homes for people on low to modest incomes in Nelson and Richmond and we plan to grow to 120 rental homes over the next five years.

Our homes change lives

Our homes make a huge difference in people's lives, by providing:

  • A warm, dry environment to live in, which improves health and well-being;
  • A secure place to live long-term, which gives people stability and peace of mind;
  • Rents that are affordable;
  • Energy-efficient homes that cost less to heat and cool.

We aim to treat our tenants with respect, courtesy, fairness and honesty.
