Open curtains during the day to let warmth in and close them in the evening to keep the warmth in.
Open windows for at least a few minutes every day to let fresh air into the house and remove moisture. A dry home is easier to heat.
Reduce the amount of moisture in the air by using the kitchen rangehood when cooking and the bathroom extractor fan when showering.
Hang washing outside to dry. If you dry clothes inside, it will create extra moisture.
Only heat rooms you regularly use, and shut doors between rooms to keep the heat in.
Set your heat pump to a healthy temperature - between 18 and 21 degrees celsius. If you set your heat pump higher than this you will be wasting power.
